If  Having battery problems with your smart phone, you are not alone.  I remember when I first bought an android phone (Tecno m3) which uses a Mediatek chipset. it was a fascinating to experience for me to use a new operating system (OS).  One difficult challenge den was battery, because I play games a lot and watch videos too. Every day changing has become a new job for me just like many other smart phone users.
After series of experience with fast drain battery, many smart phone user will fall under any of this scenario.

I need a power bank to supplement this battery
I need an additional phone
I need a small phone that will last battery
I am tired of all this  big phone, need to go back small classic phone that will save battery
I need a phone with bigger battery
I need to change OS platform

If you take any of the following choices, it will have an additional cost that must be may be considered which may range from, additional of cost of purchase, incontinence, additional weight to carry around.  Don’t be a slave to your phone battery. I will be showing you processional tips and trick to last your battery

There are many reasons why the android battery drains fast. I will be highlighting some the cause and provide some tips to make the battery last longer.

Screen display brightness

The first on my list is the screen brightness, why? Because the screen brightness is one important aspect of the phone that many people ignore often or don’t even care to moderate at all in their android phone.  The brightness of the phone can be said to consume 40-50% of the battery if not well managed. It is very important to regulate the brightness of your phone at the different time of the day (morning, afternoon and at night).  Why will you need a full brightness during the night when everywhere is already dim? And lastly, shorten you screen timeout when you don’t really need it.

Tip:  Ensure you regulate your device brightness at the different time of the day to save battery.

Install apk apps

First things first. We need to learn the behaviour of our battery to locate the problem and subsequently to find a solution. To get a better understanding of what drains the battery the most is to check the battery usage in the setting. If you find apps that are using up more battery than they should not, close them by tapping Force stop or even uninstalled them.  Always remember that every app on the phone consume some percentage of the battery and lastly close any app running in the background if you will not be using it for a long time.

If you want to go into more detail about your smart phone's battery usage, you'll find a number of apps in the Play Store that provide statistics and detailed information on battery consumption. We recommend GSAM Battery Monitor, Battery saver, Greenify and Doze. Once the app's installed, it takes a couple of days to gather data on your smartphone and battery usage, then after that it'll give you a great overview of what's using how much battery on your device. Lastly, I recommend you use the battery saver mode when the phone is idle.

Mobile data

The mobile data is a very important battery killer when not properly use and manage. Many people use their mobile that without monitoring the band that the phone required at a certain time. Look at the following scenario.
Why will you use 4Glite while you are only chatting on WhatsApp?
Why will your leave the mobile data on and have 3G while the phone is going to be on standby for long?

Why will your data be on 4G while you are busy watching a movie or listening to music?
You see these entire questions are very important because mobile data consume a lot of battery. If this is single handily manage it will save a lot of battery

Lastly, ensure you turn off the mobile data in area of the poor network because of the worse the coverage, the faster your battery drains. This happens because your phone’s antenna has to work that much harder to try to find and maintain a signal.

Mobile charger

Yes! Mobile charger can also be responsible for battery drain especially when you are not using the charger that comes along with the phone. If after a full night's charging, you notice that your smart phone battery drains super-fast, then it's worth checking first thing in the morning whether it actually fully charges. If not, then you're looking at a defective charger. Always ensure you check the original charger volt and ampere when replacing the old charger.  I have many experiences on incompatible charger and the result of quick battery drain.

The android os or Android system

One of the biggest battery consumers on your phone is the 'Android system' service. This keeps your whole device running smoothly, so naturally, uses a lot of battery, but it shouldn't be more than 25 percent. If it's using more than this, then you could have a problem.

This problem could be resolved by downgrading your Android device to an older Android versionshowever, some upgrade fix battery drain more, so I will recommend you to check for upgrade for the model of your device if no upgrade fine try downgrade or look for custom rom that save battery

Google Play Services battery drain

Google Play Services is another service that consumes a lot of battery. Unfortunately, you can't stop it because it's a crucial Android feature which lets your apps communicate with each other on your phone. Still, you can bring it under control.

Go to Settings > Applications > All > Google Play Services. Here, tap the Clear cache button. This should refresh Google Play Service and stop it draining your battery. Repeat this process once a week

Battery maintenance

While most smartphones offer great battery life at the start, you will find its performance fading after a year or two, or even sooner, if the battery isn’t maintained properly. Studies have found that batteries tend to degrade faster when the device heats up, regardless of whether it is in use or idle. Even simple things like not leaving your phone on the car dashboard on a hot, sunny day will help.

When in use, and especially when playing graphic-intensive games, we’ll all found our devices becoming uncomfortably warm. At the time, it’s a good idea to close the app and let the device rest till it cools down, or even turn the phone off, to speed up the process.

Many users are proponents of the 10-90 system, which means that you don’t charge your battery beyond 90%, and never have it drop less than 10%. Some studies have shown that 40-80 is even better, but that isn’t always possible, especially when it comes to the lower end. However, it is recommended that you discharge the battery fully and charge it back to 100%, at least once every three months or so.
Lastly, replace the battery after a long time of usage when the battery always drains fast.

Conclusion

Batteries are very important feature in our smart phone, with a very poor or bad battery smart phone can be very frustrating and even annoying. However, the durability of our battery mostly lies on how will use and handle them. If these steps outline above are properly follow it will go a long way in saving our battery and even cost.
