How to Easily root Tecno Camon C9

There are two main steps to follow when you want to root Tecno Camon C9:

1. Unlocking the Bootloader of the Infinix Tecno Camon C9 ( http://www.techwizng.com/2017/01/how-to-unlock-tecno-bootloader.html)
2. Flashing the Hovatek TWRP recovery.img and SuperSU.zip (http://www.techwizng.com/2018/04/mediatek-mtk-auto-philz-recovery-porter.html)

Now, the step by step process

• Download TWRP for Tecno Camon C9  with the Build-number above ported by Team Hovatek @ https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4S-Z726VJ2SSlJObnVNWWdneUE
• Setup ADB and Fastboot on the PC using the guide at https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-588.html
• Extract and copy the TWRP recovery.img into the same folder as the fastboot.exe and adb.exe
• Unlock the Bootloader of theTecno Camon C9 using this adb command. hope your are familiar with adb or follow the link @ http://www.techwizng.com/2017/01/how-to-unlock-tecno-bootloader.html

2. open You adb folder and one adb command line (shift + right click, click open command)
3. type the following command
4. adb
5. adb devices
6. adb reboot bootloader
7. fastboot
8. fastboot devices
9. fastboot getvar unlocked
10. fastboot oem unlock or fastboot oem unlock-go
11. fastboot reboot

• Download SuperSU 2.76.zip at https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-OoTZ7rlnEZoTVunlOAeRR-s90kRSODL
• Copy SuperSU.zip to both the phone’s SD card
• Now, Connect the phone to the PC via USB cord while switched On and boot it into Fastboot (as instructed in the Bootloader unlock guide; don't forget to re-enable OEM unlocking and USB Debugging)
• When the phone enters Fastboot, load the Philz recovery to the phone by typing the command below then pressing Enter

fastboot boot recovery.img

• The phone should automatically boot into Philz recovery mode
• Do a full backup by tapping Backup (Recommended) then proceed with the guide once done
• If Philz offers to root the phone, select NO
• In Philz recovery, tap Install
• Navigate to the location of the SuperSU.zip on External SD card and select it
• If you're having trouble loading SuperSu from storage then flash SuperSu.zip via ADB Sideload (refer to http://www.techwizng.com/2017/07/how-to-sideload-flashable-zips-using-adb.html
• Reboot the phone normally
• Confirm Root by installing and running Root Checker
