How to Transfer data between blackberry Os 10

Transfer of personal data has always be a very important step to take when switching from one phone platform to another. however, many people find this challenging and frustrating which some time make them stick to their old phone. To day, i will be showing you a simple guide for transferring or switching between Blackberry Os10.

Switching to a new BlackBerry 10 device doesn’t mean you have to start over. Use the Device Switch app to transfer data to your new device, including pictures, videos, calendar entries, contact ,and more.

Get started

On your new BlackBerry 10 device, tap Setup > Device Switch.
Select Device Switch App as the transfer method.
When the BlackBerry World storefront opens, tap Download.
Connect your new device and your previous device to the same Wi-Fi network.
Open the Device Switch app and complete the instructions.
When the app finishes, on your new device, do any of the following:
Add your email accounts.
Add your social networking accounts.
Download your apps from the BlackBerry World storefront or from the Amazon Appstore.
If you switched from an iPhone, download the Device Switch Music Transfer app to transfer your iTunes catalog to your new BlackBerry 10 device.
Alternatively you may use the blackberry link option, which require a computer.

BlackBerry Link

You can use BlackBerry Link to transfer supported data and settings such as phone history, media files, browser bookmarks, and so on to your new BlackBerry 10 device. Watch the Device Switch WebCast Series to learn more

BlackBerry Link is designed to move the data in your personal space but not the data in your work space.

If your previous device is running any of the following versions of device software, you can use BlackBerry Link to transfer data:                      

BlackBerry Device Software 5
BlackBerry 6, BlackBerry 7, or BlackBerry 7.1
BlackBerry 10 or later
Only the data saved locally in your device storage space is transferred. Any data that is wirelessly backed up or synced with a web-based account isn’t transferred to your new device.

1.  On your computer, download and install BlackBerry Link from BBLINK
2.  Open BlackBerry Link.
3.  Connect your previous BlackBerry device to your computer using a USB cable.
4.  If necessary, enter the password for your previous device.
5.  Click Transfer Data or Switch Devices > Transfer Data.
6.  Click Next.
7.  Complete the instructions on the screen.
8.  When prompted, connect your new BlackBerry 10 device to your computer using a USB cable.
9.  Select your new device in the list.
10. Complete the instructions on the screen.
11.  Click Finish.
Use BlackBerry Link to transfer a backup file

If you create a backup file on your previous BlackBerry device, you can use BlackBerry Link to restore the backup file on your new BlackBerry device.

Note: If you’re using a backup file from a BlackBerry 10 device, on your new device, you must sign in with the BlackBerry ID you used when you created the backup file.

1. On your computer, open BlackBerry Link.
2. Connect your current BlackBerry device to your computer using a USB cable.
3. Click Switch Devices.
4. Select the Restore supported data from a backup file you make from another device check box.
5. Locate and select the backup file that you created from your previous device.
